Job summary

UC Irvine’s Graduate Division seeks a leader to manage centralized student services for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. You will translate priorities into operational plans and guide managers, influencing recruitment, admissions, and student advising.

You will evaluate service delivery, drive improvements, and support strategic initiatives to enhance outcomes and student experiences across the campus.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
• Skills in monitoring / assessing people, processes or services, to make improvements.
• Skills in project management, social perceptiveness to be aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
• Ability in problem identification, reasoning, ability to develop original ideas to solve problems, persuade others, and lead.
• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
• 7-9 years related experience

Responsibilities

• Manage centralized student services functions for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.
• Translate divisional priorities into operational plans and service delivery strategies for student services programs.
• Direct subordinate supervisors and managers.
• Impact organization-wide for graduate student recruitment, admissions, enrolled student services, career counseling, professional development, and graduate advising.
• Evaluate effectiveness of student services operations and implement improvements to enhance service quality and student outcomes.
• Support divisional strategic initiatives by translating goals into actionable student services programs.
