Job summary

GHD in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Engineering Design Organization as a graduate engineer. You will work with senior engineers on projects across water, sewer, roadways, and environmental markets, contributing to designs, calculations, and drawings for construction.

We offer a hybrid work model with in-office collaboration three days a week. The role supports professional growth, with opportunities to gain EIT certification, work on code research, and develop modeling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required) or equivalent; EIT preferred.
• 0-2 years Civil Engineering experience; internship preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and willingness to learn design software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and edit designs as directed by Project Engineers.
• Prepare portions of project documents including drawings and specifications.
• Research codes and regulatory requirements applicable to projects.
• Investigate design options and document findings for Project Engineers and Job Manager.
• Involve in construction activities including site inspections and review of shop drawings; propose alternate designs to resolve issues.
• Perform analysis and retrofit design for new and existing facilities.
