Job summary

GHD seeks a graduate Structural Engineer to assist with design, evaluation and implementation of water, wastewater, industrial, and building projects. You will contribute to design calculations, drawings, and documents while learning under project engineers.

You will join a hybrid workplace with in-office collaboration three days a week, enabling you to connect with the team and grow professionally within a global engineering practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Engineering In Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• 0-2 years of structural engineering experience; internship experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit knowledge a plus.
• Knowledge of modeling and design software as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers by performing the routine aspects for engineering assignments.
• Perform design calculations, sketches and technical comparisons.
• Review and edit project specifications.
• Prepare and edit designs and drawings recommended by Project Engineers.
• Prepare portions of project documents.
• Research code and regulatory requirements.
• Research design options, component specifications and document findings for Project Engineers and Job Manager.
• Respond to contractor's questions and prepare alternate designs as needed under guidance of Project Engineers.
• Perform analysis and design retrofit of new and existing utilities.
