Job summary

GHD is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Engineering Design Organization in a hybrid role. You will collaborate on projects across industrial, municipal and environmental markets, preparing designs, drawings, and specifications for water, sewer, pumping, roadways and more.

The candidate possesses a Civil Engineering degree with 0-2 years' experience; EIT is preferred. Expect hands-on design work, site involvement, and use of AutoCAD, REVIT and PCSWMM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification preferred.
• 0-2 years Civil Engineering experience; internship preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of modeling/design software (REVIT, PCSWMM).

Responsibilities

• Preparing and editing designs recommended by Project Engineers.
• Preparing portions of project documents including drawings and specifications.
• Researching code and regulatory requirements.
• Researching design options, component specifications and document findings for Project Engineers and Job Manager.
• Involvement in Construction including site inspections, review of shop drawings, and responding to contractor's questions; as needed, prepare alternate designs to resolve construction challenges.
• Performing analysis and design retrofit of new and existing facilities.
