Job summary

GHD is seeking a graduate Structural Engineer to join our Engineering Design Organization. You will assist with the engineering design, evaluation and implementation of structures for water and wastewater infrastructure, industrial, property and government projects.

We offer a hybrid work model with in-office collaboration three days a week to connect and excel in a vibrant environment. Ideal candidates hold a Civil/Structural degree, EIT preferred, 0–2 years of experience, and familiarity with

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree a plus.
EIT certification preferred.
0–2 years of structural engineering experience; internship is a plus.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit knowledge is a plus.
Knowledge of modeling and design software as applicable.

Responsibilities

Assist Engineers by performing routine aspects of engineering assignments.
Perform design calculations, sketches and technical comparisons.
Review and edit project specifications.
Prepare and edit designs and drawings as recommended by Project Engineers.
Prepare portions of project documents.
Research code and regulatory requirements.
Research design options and document findings for Project Engineers and Job Manager.
Respond to contractor questions and prepare alternate designs under guidance of Project Engineers.
Perform analysis and design retrofit of new and existing utilities.
