Job summary

The University of Bridgeport is looking for an Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions to lead a team of Graduate Admissions Counselors and drive growth in domestic graduate enrollment.

You will manage recruitment strategies and partnerships, monitor funnel metrics, and collaborate with academic departments to enroll the right students. A Bachelor’s is required, Master’s preferred, with 3–5 years in admissions and demonstrated leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in college or university admissions, graduate recruitment, or comparable goal-driven sales or business development.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding recruitment, enrollment, or revenue goals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and develop a team of Graduate Admissions Counselors; onboarding, coaching, and evaluations.
• Set goals for inquiry, application, admit, deposit, and enrollment per counselor; align with targets.
• Monitor activity and conversion metrics; regular goal reviews and performance improvement plans.
• Recruit personal portfolio and develop external partnerships; corporate, healthcare, districts, and articulation pathways.
• Develop and execute graduate recruitment, marketing, and communication plans; coordinate with Marketing on messaging.
• Produce weekly funnel reports, forecast enrollment, and analyze campaigns to improve ROI.
• Oversee timely processing of graduate applications and coordinate with program directors and faculty.
