Job summary

The University of Bridgeport is seeking an Assistant Director of Admissions, Campus Events and Visitor Experience to lead undergraduate and graduate admissions events for domestic and international prospective students and families. This role drives planning, execution, and assessment while coordinating cross‑functional teams across Admissions and Marketing.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and vendor relationships, ensuring an inclusive, accessible visitor experience and effective enrollment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in event planning, admissions, enrollment management, marketing, hospitality, student services, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing event budgets, vendors, logistics, and metrics.
• Experience with CRM or event-management software; Slate preferred.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by the admissions event calendar.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a comprehensive annual admissions event calendar for undergraduate and graduate recruitment and yield programming.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute on-campus, off-campus, virtual, and hybrid events for prospective students and families.
• Oversee event formats including open houses, preview days, information sessions, campus tours, and graduate program events.
• Create detailed event project plans, timelines, staffing, checklists, registration procedures, and post-event follow-up plans.
• Manage all event logistics, including rooms, catering, A/V, signage, transportation, accessibility, and security.
