Job summary

The University of South Carolina is seeking a Grades Coordinator in the Office of the Registrar to support grade forgiveness requests and the processing of final grades.

You will interpret academic policies, maintain accurate student records, and communicate with students and staff. Prior experience in a registrar or student services is preferred, with familiarity with grading systems and Banner Student being a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of client/customer service principles preferred.
• Excellent keyboarding, data entry, and word processing skills.

Responsibilities

• Process requests for grade forgiveness in accordance with University policy.
• Assist with processing of final grades and grade forms.
• Interpret and articulate academic, institutional, campus, and departmental policies to current and former students, staff, faculty, and other constituents.

Processes grade forms, including grade changes, makeup forms, hardship withdrawals, registration exception forms, exam/exempt credit, grades communications, and grades reporting. Interprets and articulates academic, institutional, campus, and departmental policies and procedures to current and former students, staff, faculty, and other constituents.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a registrar's office or student services as well as working knowledge of USC academic policies and procedures.
• Experience with grading systems and student records, and Banner Student is highly desirable.
