Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
  • Experience in a registrar’s office or student services and knowledge of USC academic policies is preferred.
  • Experience with grading systems and student records; Banner Student is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Process final grades and grade forgiveness requests.
  • Handle grade forms, including changes, makeup forms, hardship withdrawals, registration exceptions, and exam credits.
  • Interpret policies and explain them to students, staff, and faculty.
  • Assist with monitoring registrar operations and answer inquiries.
  • Support with grading procedures and online submission of final grades using Banner.

Processes grade forms, including grade changes, makeup forms, hardship withdrawals, registration exception forms, exam/exempt credit, grades communications, and grades reporting. Interprets and articulates academic, institutional, campus, and departmental policies and procedures to current and former students, staff, faculty, and other constituents.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a registrar’s office or student services as well as working knowledge of USC academic policies and procedures.
  • Experience with grading systems and student records, and Banner Student is highly desirable.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of client/customer service principles preferred.
  • Excellent keyboarding, data entry, and word processing skills.
