Job summary

Cirrascale Cloud Services in Austin, TX is looking for a Level 2 Data Center Technician to serve as the escalation point for Level 1 techs, diagnosing complex hardware issues and assisting with OS and network troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.

You will install, rack, cable, and troubleshoot servers and storage, support Linux imaging, perform inventory and asset management, and contribute to process improvements while mentoring Level 1 staff.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data center, server, or IT infrastructure.
• Experience troubleshooting server hardware and enterprise infrastructure.
• Understanding TCP/IP, VLANs, and Ethernet tech.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Familiarity with RAID and storage systems, virtualization.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Install, rack, stack, and cable servers and related infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware components and perform firmware updates.
• Support Linux OS installations, imaging, and basic config.
• Provide on-site remote hands support for engineers and customers.
• Maintain asset records, perform inventories, and manage RMA flow.
• Create and update runbooks and operational procedures.
• Mentor Level 1 Technicians and escalate complex issues.
