Job summary

Moss seeks a Pile Drive/GPS Technician to support accurate, safe installation of piles on solar construction projects. You will operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot GPS-based pile-driving systems to ensure locations and elevations align with project plans.

This role requires extensive travel to project sites, collaboration with project teams, and maintaining installation records. Strong reading of plans and proficient GPS hardware skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with GPS, GNSS, or machine-control systems.
• Ability to travel extensively to project sites.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and site layouts.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot GPS-guided pile-driving equipment and associated field technology.
• Verify pile locations, elevations, alignment, and installation data against project plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Support pile-driving crews by providing accurate layout, positioning, and production information throughout installation activities.
• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs on GPS equipment and related components.
• Respond promptly to jobsite requests involving GPS, machine-control, layout, or pile-installation issues.
• Communicate and troubleshoot technical issues with project management and field personnel.
