Job summary

Moss seeks a Pile Drive/GPS Technician to support accurate, safe installation of piles on solar projects. You will operate and calibrate GPS-based pile-driving systems, verify elevations, and provide layout data. Expect extensive travel, independent work on active sites, and collaboration with crews, surveyors, and vendors.

Required GPS/GNSS experience, strong communication, and the ability to troubleshoot field equipment. Valid license and readiness for outdoor work are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree, technical training, or coursework in related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of construction industry experience preferred.
• Experience with GPS, GNSS, machine-control, survey, or construction technology systems required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and project specifications.
• Valid driver's license required and travel to jobsites as needed.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot GPS-guided pile-driving equipment and field tech.
• Verify pile locations, elevations, alignment, and data against plans.
• Support crews with accurate layout and production information during installation.
• Inspect and maintain GPS equipment and related components.
• Respond promptly to field requests involving GPS, layout, or pile-installation issues.
• Communicate issues with project management and field teams.
• Upload/download and maintain project files and GPS data.
• Ensure equipment and GPS systems are safe, operable, and calibrated.
• Complete electronic work orders and daily reports on time.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in layouts or site conditions.
