Job summary

Moss & Associates LLC is seeking a Pile Drive/GPS Technician to support the accurate installation of piles on solar construction projects. You will operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot GPS-based systems, verify locations and elevations, and provide layout data to crews across multiple sites.

The role requires travel to job sites, independent work in active construction environments, and collaboration with project teams, equipment operators, and vendors. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree, technical training, or relevant coursework preferred.
• Experience with GPS, GNSS, machine-control, survey, layout, or construction technology systems required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, site layouts, grade plans, staking information, and project specifications.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites; ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot GPS-guided pile-driving equipment and associated field technology.
• Verify pile locations, elevations, alignment, and installation data against project plans and specs.
• Support pile-driving crews with accurate layout and production information throughout installation activities.
• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs on GPS and related equipment.
• Complete electronic work orders, daily reports, and site documentation accurately and on time.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve discrepancies in layouts, elevations, or equipment performance.
