Job summary

SimVentions, Inc is seeking an enterprising System Administrator to develop and implement Windows- and Linux-based engineering solutions within a government software hosting facility. The role requires on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD and an active security clearance.

Candidates will deploy and maintain physical and virtual infrastructure, including VMs and containers, perform routine maintenance, and ensure backups and disaster recovery plans.

Qualifications

• At least three years experience in system administration or related role.
• Experience evaluating RMF compliance including STIG and ACAS scanning.
• Certification in Windows or Linux operating environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government software hosting facilities.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, including VMs and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes on physical and virtual hosts.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware/software on servers/workstations/IT equipment.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions and deploy software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain documentation.
• Provide technical support to customers and ensure DoD-compliant security posture.
• Participate in Agile project planning and provide on-prem networking support.
