Job summary

SimVentions, Inc is seeking an enterprising System Administrator to develop and implement Windows- and Linux-based engineering solutions within a government software hosting facility. This position requires full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD.

This role requires an ACTIVE Secret Clearance with the possibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance after starting. Candidates should have 3+ years of relevant experience and be proficient with RMF/STIG/ACAS, VMware, AD, backups,

Qualifications

• Active Security+ certification is preferred.
• Experience with VMware virtualization.
• Experience with virtual networking concepts and network design.
• Experience performing system backups and disaster recovery planning.
• Networking knowledge across LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, and AD.
• Experience with containers and containerization tools (e.g., Docker).
• Experience with Active Directory administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government hosting facilities.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware, including VMs and containers.
• Perform maintenance and configuration on servers and IT equipment.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain documentation and knowledge base.
• Provide technical support to customers and guidance on best practices.
• Secure information systems per DoD guidance.
• Maintain security posture via monitoring and reporting.
• Participate in Agile project planning.
• Provide networking support to on-premises infrastructure.
