Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Contract Analyst - Government Contracts to administer and coordinate federal and state government contract programs, focusing on NASPO and DLA eCAT efforts. You will ensure contractual requirements are met, operate with internal stakeholders, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes analytics, reporting accuracy, and close collaboration with Sales, Pricing, Legal, and Government Contracts leadership to support performance and compliance

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent applicable experience required.
• Minimum of 3+ years of applicable experience in contracts, government procurement, pricing, customer contract operations, reporting, or related functions.
• Government procurement and contract administration background preferred.
• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations preferred, but not required.
• Strong Excel capabilities.
• Experience supporting federal, state, or cooperative purchasing contract vehicles such as NASPO, DLA eCAT, GSA, or similar programs preferred.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently with broad guidance against defined objectives.
• Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, maintain pricing files, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Ability to communicate with internal partners and external government customers; manage deadlines.
• Ability to travel approximately 5% as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Manage contract administrative efforts for assigned government contracts, including NASPO and DLA eCAT.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective action plans with internal and external partners.
• Prepare customer-specific reporting, fee requirements, and contract performance tracking.
• Perform contract modifications and maintain pricing files.
• Recommend tools, policies, and processes to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Provide analytics to Sales leadership and Government Contracts Manager to improve growth and profitability.
• Collaborate with Sales and Bids/Quotes to implement new agreements and ensure compliance.
• Train internal partners to ensure reporting and contract obligations are met and documented.
• Monitor accounts against departmental metrics to drive process improvements.
• Maintain communication with stakeholders regarding requirements, timelines, and actions.
• Support audit readiness and contract file maintenance.
