Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a System Administrator to develop and implement Windows- and Linux-based solutions within a government software hosting facility. This full-time role requires on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD, and an active clearance path.

Qualifications

• At least three years experience performing many of the responsibilities listed in this job requisition.
• Experience with evaluating RMF compliance including STIG and ACAS scanning.
• A certification in a Windows or Linux operating environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for various and unique problem sets in a government hosting facility.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, including VMs and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes to physical and virtual hosts.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software on servers, workstations, and IT equipment.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain documentation including knowledge base, incident actions, and system configurations.
• Provide technical support to customers and guidance on best practices.
• Secure information systems to current DoD guidance.
• Monitor and report security events; maintain configuration and security posture.
• Participate in Agile project planning.
• Provide networking support to on-premises infrastructure.
