Job summary

Planet is seeking an Account Executive, Defence & Intelligence to grow government business in Japan, building a robust sales pipeline and closing large deals. You will coordinate with government customers, sales, marketing, and pre/post‑sales teams to deliver Planet solutions and ensure a successful onboarding.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in enterprise government sales, strong relationships with Japanese government and partners, fluency in English and Japanese, and the ability to travel up

Qualifications

• 6+ years of related experience in Enterprise Solution Sales with a proven track record
• Experience selling to government customers and navigating government cycles
• Excellent relationships across Japanese Government and partner ecosystem

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a government sales pipeline to meet targets
• Collaborate with Government Sales team and Leadership
• Forecast accurately and manage opportunities from qualification to close
• Coordinate with pre-sales and post-sales teams for technical validation and onboarding
• Manage contracting and government procurement processes
