Job summary

Kearney & Company seeks an Accounting Financial Systems Consultant to bridge analytics and application development for accounting stakeholders. You will gather requirements, translate processes into specs, and support solution development across client engagements.

The role suits an accountant or auditor expanding into technical delivery, with opportunities to work on varied client sites across the Washington DC area and US remote opportunities. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in auditing, accounting, data analytics, financial management, or related areas.
• Experience translating business needs into actionable technical requirements.
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with Python, PySpark, SQL or other programming languages.
• Understanding of projects data structures, systems integration, and workflows.
• Active Interim Secret Clearance (or higher) and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Design analytics solutions based on General Ledger and Feeder System data.
• Solve problems using financial data.
• Collaborate with developers to deliver applications.
• Translate business processes into technical requirements.
• Build prototypes and analytics.
• Guide junior developers during implementation.
• Verify solutions meet accounting needs.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
