EMCOR Government Services in Herndon, VA is seeking a Project Coordinator to develop scopes of work, prepare estimates, and coordinate multiple construction projects through to completion under government contracts.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to read drawings and submittals, and experience with safety and quality standards. A TS/SCI with polygraph is preferred and US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen status is required.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance with polygraph preferred.
• Ability to read and understand architectural and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to read manufacturer submittals and literature.
• Ability to specify and order material.
• Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct, and control all project activities.
• Ability to work with customers to find practical solutions.
• Ability to work with varied personnel and management systems.
• Knowledge of RS Means, MAXIMO, and government contracting procedures.
• Strong Windows and MS Office experience.
• Proven ability to develop client relationships and communicate effectively.
• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 safety training completion required (provided).
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsabilités

• Prepare scope of work from government directions for construction or repair projects.
• Prepare client-approved estimates for projects.
• Prepare equipment and material submittals for client approval.
• Coordinate construction work with site staff to minimize operations disruption.
• Develop safety plans meeting OSHA and site standards during renovations.
• Develop environmental plans and ensure compliance with policies.
• Document safety measures during projects.
• Create punch lists and ensure all work meets specs.
• Schedule equipment commissioning and produce project reports for government.
• Read and interpret architectural/mechanical drawings.
• Review manufacturer submittals and literature.
• Specify and order materials as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards to optimize resources.
• Provide oversight and management of subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
