Job summary

BDO USA in Seattle, WA, seeks a Manager, Outsourced Finance & Accounting to lead GovCon engagements. You will oversee end-to-end accounting functions, from general ledger to invoicing, ensuring GAAP compliance and government contract regulations.

You’ll mentor Associates, manage client relationships, and guide financial performance for multi-project portfolios while supporting invoicing, billing, and rate calculations. CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of progressive accounting experience with GovCon exposure.
• Three or more years leading accounting teams in government contracting.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-life cycle of outsourced finance & accounting engagements for GovCon clients.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closes and GAAP-compliant statements.
• Ensure revenue recognition, contract accounting, and policy maintenance per FAR/CAS/DCAA.
• Maintain DCAA-compliant accounting system and indirect rate structures.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for executive decision-making.
• Supervise and train Associates and Senior Associates; provide performance feedback.
• Coordinate client relationships, reporting, and issue resolution.
