Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Manager of Outsourced Finance & Accounting to oversee government contracting engagements, supervise staff, and manage client relationships. The role covers full accounting cycles, GAAP financial statements, and complex contract accounting to ensure FAR/DCAA compliance.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in senior accounting roles within GovCon, CPA or CPA candidate, and strong Excel and ERP experience (Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, PROCAS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
• Six (6) or more years of progressive accounting experience, including three (3) or more years of leading accounting teams in a government contracting environment, required.
• Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP, FAR, CAS, DCAA requirements, government contract accounting, and indirect rates.

Responsibilities

• Manages full life cycle of GovCon outsource engagements including proposal development, staffing, and client relationship management.
• Oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Ensures revenue recognition, contract accounting, and compliance with FAR, CAS, DCAA; maintains DCAA-compliant system.
