Job summary

BDO USA seeks a Manager, Outsourced Finance & Accounting to oversee the full lifecycle of GovCon outsource engagements, including staffing, work product review, and portfolio performance.

The role involves client relationship management, financial reporting, and timely billing, with a focus on ensuring compliance with FAR, CAS, and DCAA. Requires 6+ years accounting experience and CPA or CPA candidacy preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, required.
• Six+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years leading accounting teams in a government contracting environment, required.
• CPA or CPA candidate, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understands and works on all accounting functions, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, cash management, indirect rate calculation, and GovCon project accounting
• Manages monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and prepares GAAP-compliant financial statements
• Ensures accurate revenue recognition, complex contract accounting, and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GovCon regulations
• Ensures compliance with FAR, CAS, DCAA, and federal contracting regulations while maintaining a DCAA-compliant accounting system
• Oversees and calculates indirect cost structures, provisional billing rates, and forward pricing support
• Oversees project setup, funding, labor charging, contract modifications, invoicing, cost allocations, profitability, and project closeout
• Monitors contract funding, financial performance, and project costs to ensure contract compliance and profitability
• Leads budgeting, forecasting, indirect rate planning, and financial analysis to support executive decision-making and operational improvements
