Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Experienced Senior, Outsourced Finance & Accounting Associate to manage full-cycle general accounting for Government Contracting clients. This role emphasizes GAAP-compliant statements, monthly closings, and strict compliance with FAR, CAS, and DCAA.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
Three (3) or more years of progressive accounting experience in a government contracting environment required.
CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills required.
Experience with GovCon ERP systems (Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, PROCAS) preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform and oversee full-cycle general accounting for GovCon clients.
Assist with month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes and GAAP-compliant statements.
Support revenue recognition, contract accounting, and accounting policy maintenance per GovCon regulations.
Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, DCAA; maintain a DCAA-compliant system.
Assist with indirect cost structures, provisional billing rates, and forward pricing support.
Oversee project setup, funding, labor charging, invoicing, and cost allocations.
Monitor funding, financial performance, and project costs for profitability.
Assist budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for executive decisions.
