Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. GovCloud is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure 99.99% uptime for mission-critical cloud services in a 24/7 operations model.

You will monitor, troubleshoot, and reinforce GovCloud infrastructure reliability, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and drive preventative improvements. Ideal candidates have a related technical degree, strong TCP/IP and Unix/Linux knowledge, experience in incident management, and proficiency in Python or Go.

Qualifications

• Related technical degree required or equivalent experience.
• Experience with enterprise-scale internet service operations or systems engineering.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and Unix/Linux systems.
• Experience with incident management and IT service operation frameworks.
• Ability to operate 24/7 shift and on-call rotations.
• Experience provisioning AWS/C2S infrastructure.
• Proficient in Python or Go for automation.
• Familiarity with AI tools in development workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain system reliability and high performance across GovCloud services.
• Lead incident response during Sev0/Sev1 events and participate in post-incident reviews.
• Contribute to RCAs and implement preventive solutions with Global Solutions teams.
• Ensure SRE activities align with security and compliance standards.
• Mentor teammates and drive continuous learning and automation.
• Automate detection and resolution of recurring issues in production.
• Collaborate to improve workflows and reduce operational toil.
