Overview

Salesforce seeks an engineer to join the Site Reliability organization (SRO) to support the Salesforce cloud. You will monitor service availability, detect and resolve incidents quickly, and work with cross‑functional teams to improve reliability.

Responsibilities

• Detect, triage, and resolve incidents within minutes, including Sev0 and Sev1 events.
• Participate in incident technical reviews and problem management (RCAs).
• Maintain and improve monitoring, automation, self‑healing, and resiliency initiatives.
• Conduct destructive testing and game‑day exercises.
• Operate in a fast‑paced 24/7 environment, balancing multiple priorities.
• Automate detection and resolution of recurring production issues.
• Help develop and improve current processes to reduce operational toil.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen, no dual citizenship, active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
• Technical degree (systems engineering or related field).
• Systems‑engineering experience in enterprise‑scale internet services or support.
• Expertise in TCP/IP networking, CLI, Unix (Linux/Solaris/BSD), and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Strong monitoring and security systems administration background.
• Experience with incident management, ITIL service operations, and 24/7 shift work.
• Experience provisioning, operating, and running AWS/C2S infrastructure.
• Proficient scripting in Python, Go, or other languages.

Preferred Skills

• Chef/Puppet or other automated deployment experience.
• Jenkins, Bamboo, or Spinnaker pipeline experience.
• Monitoring and alert management.
• Java application support.
• AWS CLI/SDK usage.
• Kubernetes‑based applications and services.
• Knowledge of Agile processes and DevOps practices.
