Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to support AWS GovCloud environments and business-critical apps. This full-time, hybrid role covers day-to-day cloud operations, server administration, incident resolution, patching and change management in a regulated environment. Must be a U.S.

citizen with hands-on AWS experience and Windows/Linux administration. You will monitor environments, troubleshoot issues across compute/storage/networking/DNS/IAM, and work with vendor teams to drive

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Hands-on experience supporting AWS environments.
• Proficiency in Windows and/or Linux server administration.
• Solid understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure concepts (compute, storage, networking, DNS, IAM).
• Familiarity with security/compliance controls in regulated environments.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support AWS GovCloud infrastructure (compute, storage, networking).
• Monitor health, performance and utilization; respond to alerts.
• Perform patching, upgrades and routine maintenance through change management.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across compute, storage, networking, DNS, IAM and app connectivity.
• Support incident management, root cause analysis and problem resolution within SLA.
• Maintain security/compliance, including admin accounts, patch status, logging.
• Coordinate fixes with cross-functional and vendor teams.
• Create and maintain documentation for configurations and procedures.
• Identify operational improvements and automation opportunities.
• Identify cost-optimization opportunities.
• Own a portfolio of work from definition to execution.
• Support audit activities with findings and documentation.
• Participate in rotating weekly on-call schedule.
