Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team supporting AWS GovCloud environments and critical applications. The role covers day-to-day cloud operations, server administration, incident resolution, change management, and security compliance in a regulated setting.

The ideal candidate will own a portfolio of work from planning through execution and collaborate with internal and vendor teams to maintain reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS GovCloud experience required.
• Proficiency with Windows and/or Linux server administration.
• Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage deployment, configuration, and maintenance of AWS GovCloud infrastructure.
• Monitor health and performance; respond to alerts.
• Perform patching and change management.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure across compute, storage, networking, DNS, IAM.
• Support incident management and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain security and operational standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional and vendor teams.
• Document configurations and procedures.
• Identify operational improvements and automation.
• Identify cost-optimization opportunities.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule.
