Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to manage AWS GovCloud environments and critical applications in a regulated setting. The role covers day‑to‑day cloud operations, server administration, incident resolution, patching, monitoring and security compliance, with the expectation to own projects from planning through execution.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AWS environments.
• Proficiency in Windows and/or Linux server administration.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts and security controls in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support AWS GovCloud infrastructure (compute, storage, networking).
• Monitor health and performance, respond to alerts, escalate as needed.
• Perform patching, upgrades, and routine operational tasks via change management.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across compute, storage, networking, DNS, IAM and application connectivity.
• Support incident management, root cause analysis and problem resolution within SLA.
• Maintain security/compliance controls and auditing readiness.
• Document configurations and procedures; coordinate fixes with cross-functional/vendor teams.
• Identify operational improvements, including automation and cost optimization.
• Own a portfolio of work from planning to execution; participate in on-call rotations.
