Job summary

Marsh in the United States is seeking a Cloud Operations Manager to lead a team of four engineers and own hands-on cloud operations across AWS GovCloud and related infrastructure.

The role combines technical ownership with people leadership, including incident, change, problem management, patching, monitoring and security compliance in a regulated environment. A strong AWS background and Windows/Linux server administration are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting AWS environments.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on routine tasks and projects.
• Strong problem-solving and the ability to learn quickly.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues across infrastructure and application layers.
• Familiarity with security and compliance controls in a regulated environment.
• Experience leading a small operations or infrastructure team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of cloud operations engineers, including work allocation and performance management.
• Participate in a rotating weekly on-call schedule.
• Support audit activities by gathering findings and documentation.
• Independently own a portfolio of work and projects from definition to execution.
• Identify cost-optimization improvements and implement them.
• Maintain compliance with security and operational standards and document configurations.
