Muon Space, Inc. is seeking a candidate to work on control system analysis and design, capable of performing deep and broad work across GNC.

The role can be performed remotely from an approved location, with responsibilities spanning architecture design, requirements definition, and testing related to spacecraft guidance, navigation, and control. Applicants should have a PhD or Masters with 2–3 years of professional GNC experience or equivalent hands-on GNC work, strong C++ skills, and

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent, plus 2–3 years of professional experience, or extensive hands-on GNC work.
• C++ software skills required for embedded environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Julia and MATLAB for numerical analysis.
• US Government security clearance or eligibility may be required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement guidance, navigation & control architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment.
• Define requirements for ADCS algorithms, hardware, and related systems for current missions and roadmaps.
• Analyze and simulate mission-specific GNC performance.
• Collaborate on offline geolocation processing pipeline development.
• Support software- and hardware-in-the-loop test planning, execution, and validation.
