Muon Space, Inc. is seeking a candidate with deep and broad expertise in control system analysis and design, to work on GNC architectures in an embedded C++ environment.

The role involves defining ADCS requirements, performing GNC simulations, and contributing to an offline geolocation processing pipeline. The position supports remote work from an approved location and requires experience with spacecraft operations and security clearance.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or equivalent, with 2–3 years of experience, or extensive hands-on GNC work.
• Strong C++ software skills.
• Proficiency in Python, Julia, MATLAB for analysis.
• Experience with ADCS for precision pointing platforms and spacecraft operations.
• US Government security clearance or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement guidance, navigation & control architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment.
• Define requirements for ADCS algorithms, hardware, and related systems for existing missions and roadmap development.
• Perform analysis and simulation of mission-specific GNC performance.
• Collaborate on the development of an offline geolocation processing pipeline.
• Support software- and hardware-in-the-loop test planning, execution, and validation.
• Demonstrate experience with control stability analysis of flexible bodies.
