Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. is seeking a candidate to design and implement guidance, navigation & control architectures for space systems in an embedded C++ environment, with a remote work option from an approved location.

The role involves defining requirements for ADCS algorithms, performing GNC analysis and simulation, and collaborating on an offline geolocation pipeline. Experience with ADCS, spacecraft operations, and security clearance is valued.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or equivalent with 2–3 years of GNC experience.
• Proficiency in C++ and numerical programming environments (Python, Julia, MATLAB).
• Experience with ADCS and precision pointing platforms; spacecraft operations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement guidance, navigation & control architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment.
• Define requirements for ADCS algorithms, hardware, and system roadmaps.
• Perform analysis and simulation of mission-specific GNC performance.
• Collaborate on an offline geolocation processing pipeline.
• Support software- and hardware-in-the-loop test planning, execution, and validation.
