Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks an Associate Engineer, IT Laboratory Systems to support benchtop IT systems in a GMP‑regulated manufacturing and laboratory environment. You will provide hands‑on technical support, troubleshooting, and operations execution to ensure system availability and compliance.

The role covers standard business hours with nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, requiring strong problem solving, cross‑functional collaboration, and the ability to work with limited supervision

Qualifications

• 1 year of technical support experience or relevant IT certifications.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of GMP/GxP environments and system administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for laboratory benchtop equipment, IT systems, instruments and associated infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, software, hardware, network, and integration issues across GMP laboratory environments.
• Execute and support system implementations, upgrades, migrations, enhancements, and technology refresh projects.
• Support qualification, validation, and computer system lifecycle activities, including testing, protocol execution, discrepancy resolution, and documentation review.
• Collaborate with Quality, Validation, Manufacturing, Laboratory Operations, vendors, and enterprise IT teams to support operational readiness and compliance requirements.
• Perform system administration activities, routine maintenance, patch coordination, account management, backup verification, and health monitoring.
• Investigate incidents, service requests, deviations, and system issues while ensuring timely resolution and appropriate documentation.
• Assist in the training of laboratory personnel on the use of IT systems and equipment.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in laboratory technology and IT systems.
