Job summary

Target is seeking a General Merchandise Team Leader in Silver Spring, MD. You will lead a team to deliver an outstanding guest experience, manage daily tasks, merchandising, and store operations, and coach hourly staff to drive sales and service quality.

We value hands-on leadership, clear communication, and the ability to guide teams through busy shifts while ensuring stock accuracy, pricing integrity, and safe, compliant store practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work variable hours, including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Previous retail leadership preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience.
• Lead a team to meet daily/weekly workload and store sales goals with guidance from your direct leader.
• Coach and develop hourly team members to build a capable guest-focused team.
• Ensure merchandise is in stock, accurately priced, and properly signed on the sales floor.
• Uphold safety, procedures, and compliance across store operations.
