MERS Missouri Goodwill Industries seeks a General Manager in Training for the Festus Store - Truman, to lead store operations, budgets, and team development. This hourly full-time role offers a clear path to leadership within our mission-driven organization.

The position requires 3 years in retail/warehouse management, a valid MO/IL license, and strong customer service, communication, and decision-making skills. Eligible for comprehensive benefits and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Three years of Retail, Warehouse, or Logistics management experience.
• Valid MO or IL driver’s license and insurance required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to lead and hold staff accountable.
• Comfort with registers, scheduling, and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations, resources, and budgets to meet goals.
• Model values to ensure safety, ethics, and quality in the store.
• Supervise, direct, and train staff; ensure core functions are performed.
• Provide exceptional customer service to donors and shoppers and retain staff.
• Coach staff on performance and discipline when needed.
• Assign daily duties and identify candidates for advancement.
• Protect company property and report any issues to management or HR.
• Read and enforce agency policies and values.
• Staffing, payroll approvals, and scheduling efficiencies.
• Identify process improvements to reduce waste.
