Job summary

The Warehouse Supervisor at DSV is responsible for leading the warehouse department, ensuring operational excellence, high productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will train staff and coordinate shipping/receiving to meet budget and branch goals.

You will oversee safety programs, oversee equipment maintenance, and recruit, coach, and develop direct reports to sustain efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in transportation and logistics management, with supervisory or managerial responsibilities preferred.
• High School Diploma required.
• Must have forklift experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Thorough knowledge of warehouse environment.
• People management and leadership experience.
• Strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule warehouse personnel daily to ensure proper staffing to select and receive products.
• Direct the day-to-day activities of the warehouse (shipping, receiving, sanitation, maintenance, inventory control).
• Adhere to budget requirements and work toward branch goals.
• Maintain warehouse equipment with preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure safe, efficient equipment for distribution functions.
• Manage warehouse safety programs per OSHA and local regulations.
• Recruit, hire, train, and manage performance of direct reports.
• Provide timely reporting and meet deadlines.
• Propose ideas to improve warehouse operations.
• Attend and participate in meetings.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Perform other duties as needed.
