Job summary

DSV is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead the warehouse department, manage staffing, and ensure efficient shipping, receiving, and safety compliance. You will coordinate with the Warehouse Manager and train staff to achieve a well‑organized operation.

The role focuses on directing day-to-day activities, maintaining equipment, enforcing safety rules, and driving continuous improvements to meet customer expectations and branch goals.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in transportation and logistics management, with supervisory or managerial responsibilities is preferred.
• High School Diploma required
• Must have forklift experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of warehouse environment
• Advanced competency in all aspects of business administration
• People management and leadership experience (Recruitment, Selection, Training & Development, Coaching, and Performance Management)
• Strategic Planning Skills
• Strong Organizational Skills (prioritize, plan, assign, and control)
• Ability to work well in a diverse environment and culture
• Ability to develop networks and relationships

Responsibilities

• Schedule warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing for receiving and shipping.
• Direct the day-to-day activities of the warehouse (shipping, receiving, sanitation, maintenance, inventory).
• Adhere to budget and work toward branch objectives.
• Maintain warehouse equipment with preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure safe, efficient equipment for distribution.
• Lead warehouse safety programs per OSHA regulations.
• Recommend equipment upgrades to maintain productivity.
• Recruit, hire, train, and manage direct reports.
• Timely reporting and deadline compliance.
• Research and present ideas to improve warehouse operations.
• Attend meetings and participate actively.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Perform other duties as needed.
