Affirm is seeking a VP, People Business Partners & Employee Relations to lead global PBP and ER. You will partner with the CPO, PLT, and XLT, shaping enterprise talent strategy and execution at scale.

The role requires deep expertise in organizational consulting, executive coaching, and strategic workforce planning. You will build and guide high-performing teams, align operating models, and drive talent decisions across the company.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive People leadership in global tech environments.
• Experience leading a global PBP organization and high-performing teams.
• Experience handling sensitive ER matters with Legal partner collaboration.
• Proven ability to partner with C-suite and maintain independent judgment.
• Deep expertise in organizational consulting, effectiveness, and coaching.
• Strong business acumen and learning agility for complex businesses.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy and operating model for global PBP and ER functions.
• Build high-performing PBP and ER teams with clear standards and accountability.
• Serve as strategic advisor to XLT on enterprise leadership and talent decisions.
• Understand Affirm’s business and anticipate organizational workforce implications.
• Partner on workforce strategy, deploy talent, and leverage tech/AI where fit.
• Design organizations that increase speed and align resources with priorities.
• Lead leadership and talent decision quality through planning and assessments.
• Guide leaders through major organizational change for outcomes.
• Set ER strategy; oversee complex matters with executive oversight.
• Translate ER data into proactive actions for leadership effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Legal on employment practices and risk management.
