Job summary

Boston Dynamics is seeking a Staff Global Trade Compliance Specialist in Waltham, MA to oversee international trade activities. You will manage licensing, DPS, FTZ operations, and documentation while ensuring adherence to EAR, ITAR, and dual-use controls across robotics hardware and software.

The role requires 4+ years in import/export compliance, ACE platform experience, and strong cross-functional collaboration with engineering and logistics teams. A Bachelor's in a related field is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in import/export trade compliance or international logistics.
• Experience using the ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) platform.
• Ability to assign ECCN and HTS classifications for US and international frameworks.
• Knowledge of EAR, ITAR, OFAC and dual-use regulatory compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional communication with engineering, logistics, and customs brokers.
• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations (EAR, ITAR, Wassenaar).
• Execute denied party screening for partners, customers, and vendors.
• Manage end-to-end export licensing and associated documentation.
• Lead internal trade compliance audits and assist regulatory audits.
• Oversee FTZ admissions, inventory, and reporting for duty deferral and compliance.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to verify HTS and ECCN designations.
• Track compliance workflows and partner metrics using Salesforce or GTM/GTS software.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure compliant shipping.
