Job summary

Boston Dynamics is seeking a Global Trade Compliance Specialist to support our Logistics team. You will manage international trade processes in line with EAR, ITAR, and other controls for robotics hardware and software.

Responsibilities include licensing, denied party screening, HTS/ECCN classification, and collaboration with engineering and logistics to ensure compliant shipments. Requires 4+ years of trade compliance experience and ACE platform expertise.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in import/export trade compliance or related field.
• Experience using the ACE government platform.
• Proficient ECCN and HTS classifications for US and international rules.
• Knowledge of EAR, ITAR, OFAC and dual-use regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Oversight: Ensure full compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations across robotics systems, components, and software.
• Denied Party Screening: Perform DPS for international partners, customers, and vendors to ensure export control compliance.
• Licensing & Documentation: Manage end-to-end export licensing and tracking for controlled technology.
• Trade Audits & Assessments: Lead internal audits and support regulatory body audits.
• FTZ Management: Oversee FTZ operations including zone admissions and reporting.
• Contract & Record Review: Review shipping terms and maintain audit-ready docs.
• Product Classification: Collaborate to assign HTS/ECCN designations.
• Systems & Data Tracking: Use Salesforce and trade systems to track workflows.
• Logistics & Partner Management: Coordinate with freight forwarders and brokers for compliant shipments.
• Strategic Advisory: Monitor global export controls and advise on risk mitigation.
• Trade Declarations: Prepare and file export/import declarations.
• International Collaboration: Support EU compliance activities.
