Job summary

OK International in Cypress, CA is hiring a Compliance Manager to oversee and improve our trade compliance and overall compliance policies. You will evaluate risk for a manufacturing company distributing worldwide and implement strong controls across the organization.

You will train functions to adhere to trade and company policies. You will lead third party due diligence, manage contracts with suppliers, and drive training and auditing programs across sites in Europe and Asia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Foreign Trade, Logistics, Operations or related field.
• Master’s degree in foreign Trade, MBA or law degree highly desired but not required
• Customs broker license highly desired but not necessary
• 7-15 years direct experience
• Current knowledge of regulations, policies and international trade laws

Responsibilities

• Lead trade compliance function to ensure compliance with global customs regulations.
• Audit import records and ensure correct duties paid.
• Perform compliance risk assessment for global sales and operations.
• Stay current with regulations and integrate updates into training.
• Manage third party diligence programs and vendor contracts.
• Develop global compliance training program and conduct training for all relevant departments.
• Oversee compliance audits and remediate non-compliance with improved controls.
• Coordinate with Legal on contract templates and supplier agreements.
