Job summary

Livingston International is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to ensure accuracy and compliance of customs transactions through post-entry activities, audits, and process improvements.

Role collaborates with Operations and Compliance to identify risks, resolve discrepancies, recover duties where applicable, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and CCS or equivalent certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance, post-entry operations, customs audits, classification, or related import/export compliance role.
• Strong understanding of customs brokerage operations, import regulations, and trade compliance principles.
• Experience handling post-summary corrections, protests, prior disclosures, duty recovery, or regulatory compliance reviews preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify risks, trends, and compliance concerns.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and audit customs entries to ensure compliance with regulations, client requirements, and internal procedures.
• Process post-entry corrections, amendments, refunds, protests, and other regulatory filings within deadlines.
• Investigate and resolve customs discrepancies, compliance issues, regulatory errors, and duty assessments.
• Review invoices, customs documentation, client instructions, and supporting records for completeness and accuracy.
• Support internal audits, quality assurance reviews, and compliance monitoring activities.
• Identify recurring issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions to reduce risk.
• Assist with special projects, process improvements, training initiatives, and system enhancements.
• Stay current on changing customs regulations, trade programs, tariff updates, and compliance requirements.
