Job summary

Nordex Group in Iowa City seeks a Tooling Specialist to join the Material Management Team. You will develop and implement the global tooling supply strategy, manage safety stock, and handle procurement and operations tasks to support service activities.

You’ll collaborate with North American and Global Tooling teams, ensure supplier compliance, optimize tooling planning in SAP, and drive cost efficiency while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ideally a degree in industrial engineering or business administration; alternatively, several years of professional experience in a comparable position.
• Three years of professional experience in material planning and operational procurement.
• Willingness to work in an international team.
• Good MS Office and SAP knowledge (MM module).
• Global annual planning of CAPEX and OPEX budgets to support service activities in the countries.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regional availability for Tooling in Nordex Service.
• Develop solutions for special internal projects.
• Monitor and optimize reliability, quality, and costs of tools and logistics for supplier management.
• Review and optimize tooling requirements planning, global forecast planning, and SAP order management for continuous improvement.
• Oversee internal and external stakeholders, partners and service providers.
• Deliver customer support services, addressing inquiries and complaints from internal customers.
