Qualifications

• 3–8+ years of B2B telecom sales (collocation, wholesale, data transit)
• Proven track record of hunting new business and meeting quotas
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, revenue-driven team environment
• CRM familiarity and Microsoft Office proficiency a plus
• College degree preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within a prescribed Regional Sales Territory and global market segments (IP Transit, content creators/hosters, carriers/wholesalers, Netcentric clients)
• Prospect via direct calling and email, qualify and generate opportunities with Key Decision Makers
• Meet with Cogent customers onsite as needed to advance deals
• Use consultative, relationship-based selling to position connectivity solutions
• Support customers by leveraging Cogent's global network footprint across buildings, data centers, and colocation facilities
