Qualifications

• 3-8+ years of B2B telecom sales experience with collocation, wholesale, and data transit.
• Proven track record of hunting new business and meeting quotas.
• Strong communication skills and ability to prospect and research.
• Experience with CRM and Microsoft Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within a Regional Sales Territory and target IP Transit, content creators/hosters, carriers/wholesalers, and Netcentric companies.
• Qualify and generate opportunities by direct calling, email, and outreach with Key Decision Makers.
• Complement prospecting with onsite customer meetings as needed.
• Use consultative selling to position connectivity solutions.
• Leverage Cogent's global network footprint to win deals.
