Job summary

Cogent Communications is seeking a dynamic in-office Regional Sales professional in the United States. You will identify and cultivate new business within a global sales territory, targeting IP Transit, content providers, carriers and netcentric firms, engaging key decision makers by phone, email, and in-person meetings.

Qualifications

• 3–8+ years B2B telecom sales experience.
• Proven hunting sales track record with quotas.
• Strong prospecting and research skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify new opportunities within a prescribed Regional Sales Territory via sourcing and Hunting to identify new business opportunities within a global sales territory and target market segments of IP Transit, Content creators/hosters, Carriers/wholesalers and Netcentric companies.
• Through direct calling, email and contact efforts you will identify, qualify, and generate these new business opportunities by working directly with Key Decision Makers.
• Compliment prospecting and selling efforts through onsite customer meetings as needed.
