Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Technical Account Director for Switchgear to lead technical sales and account management for Global Strategic Accounts focused on LV/MV Switchgear for hyperscale customers. You will drive growth, engage stakeholders, and position Vertiv solutions as the design basis.

You will influence senior executives, collaborate cross-functionally, and advance product opportunities while traveling up to 50% to manage strategic relationships and ensure commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in sales leadership or strategic accounts.
• Proven track record closing complex, high-value transactions with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to influence business, technical, legal, and executive stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of technical sales and complex customer decision processes.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
• Travel 50% domestically with extensive travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hyperscale customers to develop switchgear architectures and position Vertiv as design basis.
• Establish technical credibility with customer stakeholders across engineering and procurement.
• Lead strategic account planning and cross-functional alignment across Vertiv teams.
• Drive executive-level communications using data and market insights to influence decisions.
• Develop and mentor Vertiv talent and reinforce leadership behaviors.
