Job summary

AMI Metals, Inc. in Rialto, CA seeks a Logistics/Shipping Administrator to manage all outbound shipments with carriers and freight forwarders.

You will coordinate quotes, select vendors, prepare shipping documents, and ensure accuracy of packaging and paperwork. Responsibilities include tracking international shipments, resolving customer issues, maintaining ITAR compliance, and coordinating with internal and external contacts.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of UPS and FedEx software is preferred.
• Reading and writing English proficient.
• ITAR compliance knowledge is a plus.
• 1-2 years of related logistics experience preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage all outbound shipments for domestic and international carriers and freight forwarders.
• Obtain quotes and select vendors for freight and forwarding services.
• Coordinate with internal and external contacts on shipments.
• Investigate and resolve customer issues related to shipping or paperwork.
• Prepare invoices, bills of lading and shipping statements.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of shipments and packaging.
• Maintain ITAR compliance and regulatory adherence.
• Ship materials via FedEx and UPS.
• File freight claims and track them weekly.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
