GiveDirectly is seeking a Senior Manager, People Operations to lead a multi-country payroll, HR data, and lifecycle operations with a hands-on, builder mindset. You will manage a small team, set operating models, and ensure accurate payroll delivery and compliance across locations.

The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a deep understanding of global payroll and HR systems. This position is fully remote with time overlaps for East Africa and US hours.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in People Operations or global payroll.
• 2+ years of experience managing a team.
• Experience running multi-country payroll and employer of record arrangements.
• Proficient in English and cross-cultural collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Lead, coach, and develop a team across payroll, service delivery, data, and lifecycle operations.
• Own end-to-end payroll for global staff and manage payroll calendar and controls.
• Own onboarding, offboarding, transfers, and lifecycle processes with an emphasis on user experience.
• Own HRIS operations, data quality, and reporting infrastructure.
• Execute annual compensation cycles, benefits administration, and mobility transactions.
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives and other duties as assigned.
